When Aimé Guerlain first created his perfume 'Jicky' way back in 1889 he had created what became to be acknowledged as the first 'perfume masterpiece'. Prior to Guerlain's new fragrance, all perfumes had been based on one floral essence. Guerlain was the first person to combine a number of products to create a truly unique fragrance.
